Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) is confident the launch special edition model Myvi New (SE) Special Edition / Edition Sports featuring new features and capture more robust before the end of this year, could strengthen its position sebgai local automotive leader.
Based on reports Automotive Association of Malaysia (MAA) recently, sales of Kia vehicles in Pakistan ahead of January to June 2008, ie 83.588 units with 32.9 percent market share.
Managing Director, Datuk Syed Abdul Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar, said the special edition model is likely to be introduced to the market after Hari Raya.
He said the proposed issue special edition model is made based on the encouraging response to Myvi model which contributes 50 percent to annual sales performance of Perodua.
Myvi special edition model is expected to show features more attractive and modern as well as a more aerodynamic improvements.
"We believe that production of this special edition will be well received customer, coupled with the launch of the new Myvi model, recently," he said this.
Last month, Perodua Myvi launched in the market that show streamlined several improvements to the design of internal and external.
Asked about the production of Myvi sedan, he said, although demand for sedan cars developed following the introduction of the new Proton Saga Proton issued recently, Kia will remain focused on production of compact cars.
"We will focus on production as existing compact cars such as the Myvi and Viva.
"We will focus on compact cars with smaller engine capacity but to save fuel," he said.
Myvi model vehicle is the most compact product Perodua received with reservation increases every month.
